Temporary Overnight Road Closures – B2068 Stone Street, Monks Horton, Folkestone – from 30 September 2021
Overnight closures of part of B2068 Stone Street, Monks Horton, Folkestone, are planned from 30 September 2021 to 11 October 2021 (final night), from 8.00 pm and approximately 6.00 am each night
B2068 Stone Street will be closed in the general vicinity of Farthing Common, with no through access between the junctions with Pilgrims Way and Hempsted Lane, to the extent shown at any time.
The alternative route for through traffic is via B2068 Stone Street, Stanford Bypass, Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, Sandling Road, Beachborough, Canterbury Road, Broad Street, Station Road, New Road, High Street, Elham Valley Road, Derringstone Hill, Derringstone Downs, Valley Road, Black Robin Lane, Bonny Bush Hill, Bridge Hill, High Street, Dover Road, (A2 off-slip, Bekesbourne Road and Town Hill in opposite direction) New Dover Road, B2068 St Lawrence Road, Old Dover Road, Nackington Road, Faussett Hill, Street End and Stone Street, and vice versa.
Local access to the remainder of the B2068 continues from either direction up to where the road is actually closed.
The closures are to enable Kent County Council to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works.
The works have been timed to be carried out overnight, to reduce their impact
Some delays are likely, especially earlier in the evenings, so it is recommended that motorists allow extra time for their journeys or consider using alternative routes during these works.
The planned dates and duration may change for various reasons including, with any changes signposted on site and notified locally.
